Our Ft. Reno experience was amazing. I’m sure we’ll write about it in greater detail later, but right now it’s 1:10 AM. I have to work tomorrow, but I’m feeling so pumped up still that I can’t sleep.
Tonight Ian MacKaye and Ted Leo were in the audience and we played one of our best shows yet. They were really cool and complimentary to us as well. Maybe they were just being nice, I don’t care - I can die in peace.

We’re playing the venerable Ft. Reno festival tonight as a part of a great line-up with The Boom Orangutangs and Sarah Azzara. We’re on second (7:55 PM). It’s free, it’s outside, and it’s fun. Come check it out.

One my highlights this year was heading over to Belgium for Darren and Emilie’s wedding. It was just an amazing experience, one unlikely to be replicated in my lifetime. It also seems to have pushed me into the wedding business. I already have two weddings to play next year. Unfortunately, both are friend’s services, so I can’t charge them anything.
I have included a recording I did of Fandango (Danse Espagnole) in this post. You can look at the sheet music here, and I have previously written about the song on my old blog (please ignore the times in that post, this is a different recording, the measure numbers are correct). This is the song I am playing in the picture above, which occurs around measure 64. As I wrote in a previous post, this is the hardest piece I know that I am willing to attempt in front of other people. I hope you enjoy it.

Hey, you. Bored right now? Go listen to the 2 new songs we posted on at
www.myspace.com/cityveins
They are live recordings from our Sunday night show on WMUC. We put up 2 songs, “Oh, Backwards” and “Help Me Out.” I’m beyond psyched to finally have “Oh, Backwards” up on our MySpace. It’s definitely our best song. “Help Me Out,” affectionately referred to in-house as “F*** Face,” is an energetic little number we like to open with.
Enjoy, and let us know what you think (about the songs or anything else on your mind)!
